Good Attitudes While Playing Bingo
Playing bingo has become the favorite past time of most people of various ages and sexes. It has become very popular regardless of race. If you are a new comer in a bingo hall, many regulars are really eager to assist you so that you will feel comfortable playing. Observing some good behavior in a bingo hall would be nice and would help you avoid stepping in anyone's toes.
First of all, keep your voice down when the game are about to begin and while the game is going on. This is the most important unwritten rule in playing bingo. You would notice that the bingo regulars automatically tone down their voices or refrain from talking once the caller had started a game.
Make sure to double check your cards before you shout "bingo". It is an automatic response to stop playing when someone shouts "bingo"; it instantly stops the flow of the game. So, make sure that you really hit bingo before you shout. Most regular players would be mad at you if it is a false bingo especially if they already crumpled their cards in frustrations.
Don't blame the caller. Sometimes some players in the edge of losing would tend to take their frustrations out to the caller. They would yell and shout some nasty and bad comments to the caller. Just keep yourself cool, the caller has no control over the outcome of the numbers being drawn and the entire game. You can ask for some favor like "louder please" or "slow down please" if you find it difficult to catch up with the caller but be certain that it would be in a polite manner.
Try not to shout out the number you need before the caller announce the next number. Perhaps this could help you concentrate more in the game but remember that there are other players around you that are also trying to concentrate in their cards. It would be rude to do this and ruin other's concentration.
Smoke only in the area where it is allowed. Many believe that smoking and bingo can be inseparable, in reality it is the only indoor establishment in the U.S that still allows smoking within their hall. But remember that there are also some players who cannot tolerate cigarette smoke in the room especially if the room has poor ventilation. Besides it would be a hazard to their health if they keep on inhaling cigarette smoke. Just be considerate if you are smoking and try to respect the nonsmoker's area.
